Alberto T. Estévez
Alberto T. Estévez (Barcelona, 1960), Architect (UPC, 1983), Architecture Ph.D. of Sciences (UPC, 1990), Art Historian (UB, 1994), Art History Ph.D. of Arts (UB, 2008): with professional office of architecture and design (Barcelona, 1983-today). Teaching and researching in different universities for more than 35 years, at TUWien, HSAK Vienna, UB, Elisava-UPF, UDEM and UIC Barcelona. He is the founder and first Director of the ESARQ (School of Architecture – UIC Barcelona), where he works as professor of Architecture. Alberto T. Estévez is the founder of the research group, master’s and Ph.D. programmes «History, Architecture and Design» and then of the research group, master’s and Ph.D. programmes «Genetic Architectures». He has written more than one hundred publications and has participated in many exhibitions, conferences and committees around Europe, America and Asia. He is the founder of the iBAG (Institute for Biodigital Architecture & Genetics), and of the Doctorate in Architecture at UIC Barcelona, of which he has been its first Director. Alberto T. Estévez was also Vice-Rector-Manager of the UIC Barcelona (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya).
